This fashion accessories brand does €300K+ per month on Shopify, selling worldwide. They'd built a strong product line and a loyal customer base through paid acquisition and organic search — the kind of brand that moves volume consistently but hadn't fully unlocked their owned channels.
With a subscriber list of approximately 70,000, the brand had a significant email asset sitting underutilized. They were running Klaviyo and had basic flows in place, but campaigns were inconsistent — and when it came to seasonal or clearance events, they had no structured playbook for maximizing revenue from their existing audience.
We'd been working with the brand for nearly two years at this point, managing their full Klaviyo stack — flows, campaigns, segmentation, and deliverability. When they came to us with a batch of end-of-season inventory to move, we already had the infrastructure and list health to execute fast.
The brand had a significant amount of end-of-season stock that needed to move — quickly. Running more paid ads to clear inventory would have eaten into already-thin margins. Discounting across the entire site would have diluted brand perception. They needed a channel that could drive fast, high-volume sales to an audience that already knew and trusted the brand.
The challenge wasn't just "send a sale email." It was designing a multi-day campaign sequence that maintained urgency without fatiguing a 70K subscriber list — and doing it in a way that would keep open rates high through the entire run, not just day one. Previous clearance attempts had been single sends with no follow-up strategy, leaving revenue on the table every time.
Phase 1 — Sequence design & segmentation. We designed a 16-email clearance campaign sequence spread across 11 days, built around three principles: segmentation discipline, urgency escalation, and send-timing optimization. The "Master Segment" — engaged subscribers with recent open or click activity — received the full daily sequence. We also planned a controlled test send to the unengaged segment to capture recoverable revenue without damaging deliverability.
Phase 2 — Cadence & timing. We sent daily, alternating between morning sends (6:00–8:00 AM GMT+1) and evening sends (7:00 PM GMT+1). On key days — launch day and final announcement — we doubled up with both an AM and PM send. This rhythm kept the campaign visible across time zones without stacking sends too close together.
Phase 3 — Urgency escalation & the unengaged test. Subject lines escalated urgency throughout: from "Clearance is live" to "Last 48 hours" to "Final announcement." On Day 4, we ran a separate send to the unengaged segment (20+ days inactive) — that one send alone pulled in €1,106 at a 9.10% open rate. A controlled risk that paid off without touching our sender reputation on the main segment.
In 11 days, the clearance campaign sequence generated €30,641 in attributed revenue. Sixteen sends. One focused strategy. Zero ad spend. The brand moved through its end-of-season inventory and recovered margin that would have been lost to paid acquisition or site-wide discounting.
Open rates held above 83% for every engaged-segment send — peaking at 85.86% on March 8. The best single send generated €4,103. Even the unengaged segment test pulled in over €1,100. Every email in the sequence generated revenue, with not a single send falling below €1,000. The campaign playbook is now repeatable — ready to deploy in under 48 hours whenever the brand needs to move seasonal inventory.
